Meet Kayden
Kayden Rodriguez(he/him or they/them) is a Registered Social Work Intern from San Antonio, Texas. Kayden has been in the Tampa Bay area since 2012 when he moved to start his Bachelor of Fine Arts at The University of Tampa.
Since graduating from UT, Kayden has brought a uniquely creative mindset to various social service positions including but not limited to roles in child welfare, domestic violence, & LGBTQ+ community advocacy. This path led him to complete a Master of Social Work in December 2022.
As an openly proud nonbinary & transgender individual and with over 8+ years of community advocacy, Kayden specializes in working with LGBTQ+ community members, but also holds space for and works with all marginalized individuals. He considers his work trauma-informed, antiracist, kink/BDSM, sex work, & poly-affirming.
Therapeutically, Kayden holds training in CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Nonviolent Communication, Domestic Violence, and more. With roots in attachment theory, he utilizes an eclectic approach to narrative therapy with a collaborative intention to meet and work with clients where they are at.
