Rhamah (Pronounced: Ray-mah, Pronouns: She/Her, They/Them) began her journey toward mental health as an avid reader. From a young age, she loved stories and exploring perspective. Like many others, she dove into books as a form of escape.
As she pursued a Bachelor of Science in Biology, she also pursued a Bachelor of Arts in English, seeking to understand how language shapes an understanding of the world. However, as she explored literature, she found herself seeking out narrative experiences written by women, people of color, and queer people. This led her to obtain a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies.
Rhamah has been writing in the sci-fi and fantasy genres for years. While she dabbles in exploring flow and form in poetry, she finds most fulfillment in exploring dialogue and relationships in narrative forms. She encourages everyone to explore themselves through their writing, whether that is questioning what makes us ourselves, or simple wordplay to evoke a smile.
While not a native Floridian, Rhamah currently calls Tampa home. She and her partner are proud cat parents to Biscuits and Blackberry Jam. When not writing and reading fiction, she plays early 2000s video games, Dungeons and Dragons, and roller skates. She is always pursuing knowledge, and looks forward to sharing what she learns with her personal and professional community.
